The auto jump feature is the first step to making minecraft acsessable and more enjoyable for players and personally I enjoy it very much. If you type this: /execute a r2 tp p (coordinates of where you want them to spawn go here) into a repeat/purple command block that is set to always active and that is within two blocks of where the players spawn then it should work. This can also be used to give players less muscle fatigue because later in life hours playing minecraft will have slowly degenerated your wrist and finger muscles from too much repetitive movement. The number of blocks you can step up can be configured in the mods menu (with a maximum of 32.5) and if you want to turn off the step assist permanently, just use the setting in the configuration menu or file.
